Delete your Biilby account

You can delete your Biilby account, and the personal data attached to it, at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

In the app

Open Settings › Account › Delete account. Confirm with your password, or, if you sign in with Microsoft, with a 6-digit code we email you. Your account is deleted at once and you are signed out.

Without the app

Enter the email address you sign in with. We send you a confirmation link, valid for one hour. Nothing is deleted until you open it and confirm.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in, password and Microsoft link
• Your profile, email address and photo
• Your personal notes and your private conversations with the Biilby assistant
• Your devices, notifications and preferences
• Your access to every company and project

What is kept, and why

• What you recorded on a company’s projects (site records, comments, messages, photos, documents) belongs to that company’s project files. Biilby processes it on the company’s behalf. It stays there under your name, and you remain listed on those projects as a contact, without an account. To have it removed as well, ask the company concerned.
• A short security record that the account was deleted, and when.
• Encrypted backups made before the deletion expire automatically within 35 days. They are locked against early deletion to protect them from tampering, so they cannot be erased sooner.
• Invoices and billing records of the companies we work with, for the period Belgian accounting law requires (7 years).
